Last week was the start of a major change in our lives. The girls started school full time and I’m pleased to say are absolutely loving it! I can’t shut them up on the way home as they chitter chatter about their day, I just wish they would talk one at a time so I can understand what they are saying!
I don’t often say how proud I am of them, because in honesty I actually get sick of the many mums that bander the word around far too often for it to actually mean anything. However, this week I really do have cause to sing my girls praises. Not only have they both gone off to school without any stress or tears at all, but they were also both awarded the super star for their fantastic behaviour!
For this, I am extra proud and now I just have to find the way to bring that fantastic behaviour back home at the end of the day! Then maybe I could share my secret and become rich and famous… I’ll keep you posted!
Not only has their little lives changed this week, but, so has mine. I have finally become a working mum and set up my own business in mobile hairdressing.
I took a big leap of faith and claimed I would be doing 16hours from scratch, relying on four leaflet drops, a new Facebook page and a few words of mouth. This thankfully paid off and I actually managed a full 17 hours of work. This went beyond my expectations and as you can imagine I was chuffed to bits.
I have also managed to blitz the whole downstairs of our house. I have painted walls, scrubbed floors, cleared out and wiped the cupboards down. I cleaned the fridge, the oven, the skirting boards and everything in between. The girls toy boxes have been emptied and now I am left with 3 bin bags of rubbish and two bin bags of stuff to sell.
Now I have to decide what to do with it all, as the weather is due to turn soon I’m not liking the thought of sitting at a car boot sale all day. Therefore, think I might try my luck and sell CD’s, games and books online and make a bit of extra money to put towards their Christmas presents.
Unfortunately, the one thing that has suffered this week is my poor blog! However, once I have my upstairs sorted, I will be spending the spare time catching up on my posts… I have banged on for months about being able to have the time to read and comment on other blogs once the girls are at school. I’m hoping by next weekend the day will come where I can relax a bit and fulfill this promise.
